Wow! You folks don't mess around, do you? I do appreciate your honesty, though. It's refreshing. I'm told sometimes by reviewers that they don't like my heroines at first or that the heroine "grew" on them, so I'm always worried about my heroine coming off too bitchy or cold (like me, I guess!). That's why I have a couple of writer friends read them first to make sure my heroine comes off "sassy" and "spirited" but not strident and irritating. So, I feel this writer's pain!
