I too had some doubts about a full length prequel but I think Estep did a fabulous job with this book. I didn't feel like I was cheated out of a new book because what she presented was so interesting and a new look at Gin that it all actually felt new.

This book was great. It was weird seeing Gin with the determination she's always had, but without that protective shell that she's built against too many emotions. Of course, this could explain why I thought she was trying too hard not to let her feelings for both Donovan and Owen in too close.
