In my case, when I had ear surgery several years ago, I woke up to hear them discussing an upcoming trip to Mardi Gras, where my surgeon was expected to be quite the man about town. I don't THINK I was supposed to be that conscious yet!

My teaser is from "Confucius Jade" by Frederick Fisher (is a certified gemologist and registered jeweler with the American Gem Society for many years. He takes that experience and a life spent "treasure-hunting" with his late wife and turned it into an adventure novel set in China about a wonderful jade carving and the 3 rich people who want it. Very enjoyable, with some nice strong female characters, including a female narrator.

OMG!! this is my worst nightmare...ebing awake during surgery - the teaser does make me want to check out the book though. I guess I'm into torturing myself!

Not sure whether I should be laughing or be completely freaked out after reading that. I think I'll go with the latter. Lol. Intriguing teaser though!
