On Perfect Harmony, the ambitious competitors heat things up on stage and off…

Cody Rivers is determined to be a rock star, but couch-surfing between bar shows gets old fast. Joining an a cappella group for a new singing competition show could be his last chance at real fame—unless the college boy from the heart of the country messes it up for him. Lucas Norwood is everything gothy, glittery Cody is not—conservative, clean-cut, and virginal. But when a twist in the show forces them together, even the sweetest songs get steamy as the attraction between them lights up the stage. Lucas wants to take it slow, but Cody’s singing a different tune—and this time it maybe a love song…

Why I Read This Book: I am a sucker for new adult and anything to do with vocal harmony groups. So yes, I dove into this one.

In A Nutshell: This story is absolutely charming. The characters are amazing, the story beautiful, and the romance entrancing.

What I Liked: There are so many reasons to fall in love with this story. Most of all is the relationship between Cody and Lucas. These guys are so far from expected. Cody is flamboyant and intentional. He’s fought to be the man he is and refuses to find himself back in Iowa. Ever. If that means using his wiles to get what he wants, so be it. Lucas is milder. His family and collegiate lives are conservative and restrictive. He thinks he know who he is until he meets Cody and finds that he’s never known anything. God. This story. While the rest of the plot is wonderful, the relationship between Cody and Lucas sets the story on fire.

What I Also Liked: Everything from the set up to the cast to the layout of the story brings light to the relationship, which remains the focus of this book. The story is setup around an a cappella television show. It’s drama-filled and exciting. Added to the romance plot, this drama grows the characters in ways that neither man expected. The cast of characters makes the story vast and fun.

In My Opinion: Treble Maker is definitely worth the read. And re-read. I’m looking forward to the next book.
