Divorce is a big change… But there are bigger ones…
A few months after his divorce and many failed blind dates, Greg Fairchild met Tanner Williams. What started out as a good friendship unexpectedly turned into something that Greg didn't know what to do with…attraction. Why would he be attracted to a man? He had been a ladies man back in the day. He was married for more than 20 years—to a woman… He fathered three children with that woman…. He was a Republican!
Was this unexpected development a mid-life crisis? Or had he been living a lie all these years?

In a Nutshell: Oh yeah!
Why I Read This Book: I love books with older leads so the synopsis made this a must read.
What I Liked: I adored these characters and their erotic and emotional romance.
Greg’s unexpected attraction to Tanner is craftily written and I ate it up with a spoon! He’s lonely, adrift, and horny. He meets Tanner and suddenly, everything he just knew about himself is called into question. The fear, worry and absolute pull that Greg feels toward Tanner, and a life with Tanner, is powerfully written and I totally bought it, especially since it’s built upon itself. For instance, Greg doesn’t immediately understand his attraction, and he doesn’t soon imagine a life with Tanner; instead it takes time and process to get Greg to where he can commit to a life with Tanner.
I also love how Tanner gives Greg space and time but he also stands up for himself. Tanner tells Greg he can’t wait forever and it’s just he honesty the relationship needs.
What I Also Liked: This is a full length novel with no mystery or big external plot. The tight focus is Greg’s character development and the men’s relationship. This totally worked for me as a romance fan and I’d highly recommend it.
What I Didn’t Like: This is book 4 in an MF romance series that feature Greg’s ex-wife and daughter. These characters and their partners play a pretty big role in the book. I wouldn’t say this ruined the story for me but it did make me feel like I was missing why they were on page so much. As I don’t read contemporary MF romance I won’t go back and read their stories. They almost made me wish wish they didn’t have so much page time. I just want Greg and Tanner!
IMO: Loved the characters and the romance here. MM fans should read this.
