He’s a biker working undercover for the Feds. She has reasons of her own for joining the Wild Riders. Together, they’re burning up the asphalt and tearing headlong into danger and passion.

The guys always thought of Jessie as their kid sister, except Diaz Delgado. The past few years he’s been watching her–and Jessie’s glad somebody is. Delgado’s dark good looks and killer body have tempted her since day one. Diaz’s unbrotherly urges have been hard to fight but the last thing he wants is to hurt Jessie. But when they both go undercover with killer survivalists, he knows it’ll be hard to keep his distance–especially when the mission takes a risky turn. Now Diaz has no choice but to open himself up to the one woman strong enough to take him on.

Why I Read This Book: More motorcycles and this time a kick-ass female biker?! I’m all in! After meeting Jessie briefly in Riding Wild (my review), I was thrilled to see that her story was the next one being told in the series. It was nice to see that this time the two main characters didn’t have a relationship past, but that they were at least both mutually interested, even if they are trying to repress it. Also, killer survivalists? Why not?!

What I Liked: Jessie was hilarious! A tough as nails gal raised with the Wild Riders, she had more than enough firepower to play with the big boys. While the guys all still try to protect her, since this is her first mission, they also know she can handle herself. She wasn’t over-sexualized like many “badass chicks” are in these kinds of books and that was rather refreshing.

Delgado was downright yummy! Loyal, hardcore, and intelligent are three things that were imbedded in his character makeup that I just ate up. His appreciation for Jessie was never brotherly, despite all the other guys’ feelings and I thought that was a unique perspective for him to have from the start. He’s also an alpha male in the sense that he protects and cares for what he considers his. And Jessie most definitely is his.

While the first book in the series was rather tame in sexual situations, this book is a whole new ballgame. When your initiation into a new biker gang involves a group sex experience, I’d say we’re playing with a different set of weights. What was truly incredible to read was the magnetism and utter beauty that was Jessie and Delgado’s coupling. The way they are written is definitely meant to give a clear picture of just how good an engrossing romance can be.

What I Didn’t Like: I can’t think of anything that wasn’t pretty damn awesome about this book. I might be missing out on a finer detail, but honestly if there was anything, it was overridden by the intense awesomeness of the rest of the book.

Overall Impression: An incredible continuation of a kickass series, Riding Temptation is just what I needed to continue my love of bikers, babes, and badass stories!

  1. These books used to be sooo expensive for the kindle edition. But I see now it looks like they've switched publisher and are only $2.99!! Going to finally finish this series!

  2. Aw yay. I read this series ages ago when I first started reading and loved them too. I'm thinking I'm gonna need to do a re-read sometime soon :)
