New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Lauren Dane takes you into a brand new world in ALL THAT REMAINS. Summer Killian falls fast and hard when Charlie arrives in Paradise Village. But the heat turns all the way up when she learns Charlie is also with Hatch - the man she loved three years before. While she's not sure she's cut out for a triad, neither man is going to give her up.

Take a ROCKY RIDE with New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Vivian Arend as she leads you back to the Six Pack Ranch. Anna Coleman might be the law around Rocky Mountain House, but bad boy Mitch Thompson knows that under the stiff RCMP uniform is a woman with a passion for speed and pleasure that matches his own, and he’s not giving up until she’s his.

Kit Rocha returns to Sector Four in BEYOND TEMPTATION. A promise to a dying friend backfires when Noah Lennox finds that the girl he was supposed to rescue is all grown up--and wearing O'Kane ink. He wants to protect her from the secrets of their past, but she wants him. And an O'Kane woman always gets what she wants.

All That Remains (Metamorphosis, Book 1) by Lauren Dane

This was an interesting read for me. I’m a big fan of Lauren Dane’s contemporary romances and have read a couple of her paranormals—Heart of Darkness and Goddess with a Blade. But I haven’t read any of her sci-fi, wolves, or cat book and don’t know how this new series compares. In this version of the future, a catastrophe has resulted in many more men than women being alive. Women are to be treasured and traditional relationships have evolved into many male/male and triads. Society is more agrarian with bartering a big component. Charles and Hatch are together and come to the town where Killian is living to work on the harvest. Killian and Hatch were in a serious relationship years ago and the connection is still there. Charles is also attracted to Killian. Killian is attracted to both men but doesn’t know if she can trust Hatch again. And she’s just met Charles.

This is definitely a new type of world for me and I enjoyed getting this piece of it. I admire Killian for questioning whether to get mixed up with Charles and Hatch because they’re already in a relationship. And I like that she didn’t immediately agree to be in a committed relationship with them despite their great sexual chemistry—she needed to forgive and trust Hatch again and get to know and love Charles. I was very satisfied with the story and look forward to the next book in the series.

Rocky Ride (Thompson & Sons, Book 1) by Vivian Arend

I read this one and was immediately ready for the next book in the series. Mitch and Anna are having a secret relationship that’s just supposed to be the occasional hook-up. They are both busy people with Mitch working for his family’s garage and Anna a RCMP. But as you do, Mitch started wanting a real relationship with dates—not just hook ups. I really like that it was Mitch wanting more, not Anna.

I enjoyed this steamy read. Their relationship progression is nicely done. Things get in the way of an easy transition from hook up to a real relationship. I think Mitch was pretty hard on himself and making sacrifices for Anna which I thought was sweet.

Beyond Temptation (Beyond, Book 3.5) by Kit Rocha

Kit Rocha’s Beyond series is dystopian, kind of an alternate future. The main players are the O’Kanes of Sector 4. This is Noah and Emma’s story.

Noah tried to help Emma years ago to make up for a past failure. He’s recently found out he didn’t help her like he planned so now he’s come to Sector 4 to make amends no matter the cost to him. Emma had a crush on Noah and seeing him again has brought that all back. The longing between them was palpable through the pages of the book. I liked the balance of Noah’s tech skills and Emma’s artistry.

Like all the Beyond books, this one is very steamy. The chemistry between Noah and Emma is incredible. Instant sparks. I liked that Noah is a little atypical from past Beyond heroes. He’s a tech guy, not brawn. But at the same time can hold his own in a fight. Emma is feisty like the other O’Kane women. Their romance was hot and fast but believable since they had a history. Awesome story. I see a re-read in my future.

Overall Impression: Three awesome stories. I enjoyed going back to Sector 4 and then also getting to know new characters in new series. I highly recommend for fans of the authors and erotic romance.

  1. I bought this book for the Kit Rocha story. I read it with every intention of going back to read the others later. I've yet to do that. I think I need to after reading your review. Thanks.
