But Kerry has a few secrets of her own and her plans for him land Rhys in a place he never expected—the arms of sexy Italian solicitor, Asher D’Ettore.Asher becomes an obsession Rhys can’t shake. In a Nutshell: Rhys' world is turned upside down by a man and he has to reevaluate his life.
The Set Up: Rhys, the first male lead, returns to town to be in his brother's wedding. He gets into a bet with his a woman from his gym and ends up meeting Asher, the second male lead.
Why I Read This Book: I enjoy M/M romance and I love the idea of bending alpha male rules.
What I Liked: The book is decently written. I love erotica that allows me to think as I read and this one allows my imagination to run wild. I love the alpha males and the way Rhys is introduced to Asher. I also have a thing for the name Asher because of the LKH books so whenever I see that name insta-love. The men in this story have a great chemistry and it plays out well through the plot.
What I Didn't Like: You really need to read the other books in this series before trying this one. There are too many characters to keep straight and tensions running high. It's difficult to connect with the characters at points because you have no basis for some of their reactions. The author does throw in brief back story so it's possible to read this separate but I don't recommend it.
IMO: Good writing and easy pacing create a steamy world that draws the reader in.
