Thursday Thirteen: 13 Reasons to Read the Undeniable Series by Madeline Sheehan

Thursday Thirteen

Thursday Thirteen is a weekly meme with a simple theme: each Thursday you blog a list of 13 things. What kind of things? Any kind! Just come up with a list theme and run with it.

The Undeniable series by Madeline Sheehan is a MC romance. These is not your typical romance series. It’s a hardcore, bumpy ride. So strap on.

Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan Unbeautifully by Madeline Sheehan Unattainable by Madeline Sheehan
  1. Each book comes with a warning. The warnings only made me want to read the book even more.
Warning: This is not a typical love story. This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime.
    - Undeniable, Book 1

Warning: This is not a story about fate or destiny. This is a story about pain, sorrow, and suffering. This is an impulsive whirlwind romance between two lovers that are not meant to be together. Theirs is not a world with sunshine and roses. Instead, their love blossoms in a secret world full of crime, violence, and death. Their story is about what can be born from nightmares.
    - Unbeautifully, Book 2

Warning: This is not a virtuous and tender love story. It’s chaotic, ruthless, and tragic. This story takes love and kills its innocence, steals away the pure moments, and crushes the hearts of the broken. A story born in childhood, tying one girl to one boy, leads to a destructive path—that hurts more than it doesn’t, that shatters more than it heals—testing the love that binds the two through a lifetime.
    - Unattainable, Book 3
  2. These books are a great way to pass the time until Sons of Anarchy returns.
  3. Book crack. All consuming book crack. I read each one within 24 hours and had to have the next book in my hands immediately. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning reading these books.
  4. Shower sex. Not-so-gentle, tension filled, passionate up-against-the-wall shower sex.
  5. Leathers.
  6. The passion and tension, and lots of it.
  7. Even though a May/Dec romance is my least favorite, I didn’t care that there was a 14 year age gap between Deuce and Eva. I was already pulled into the story.
  8. The MC world and lifestyle feels authentic. It’s raw, gritty, and hella crazy. Hold on because you’re in for a torrential ride.
  9. Jase, Dorothy, and Hawk. Quite an intense love triangle going on here.
  10. Unattainable was a twofer. Not only was it Cage and Tegen’s story, it was Dirty’s story as well. And Dirty has quite a disturbing and heartbreaking story to tell.
  11. These characters are not perfect, far from it. The men think with their dicks at times, and it gets them into a whole lot of trouble. But it’s makes for great reading material.
  12. The feels. You’ll be angry, happy, ragey, sad – all of it. These books will make you feel.
  13. These characters know they’re fucked up and own it.

“Is it just me or are they so fucking weird together? I mean, how in the hell did [she] end up with Dirty?”

Cage laughed quietly. “Right. ‘Cause this right here,” he said, pointing between the two of them, “is real motherfuckin’ normal.”

Brianna’s Rating:

I give Undeniable 5 frogs, Unbeautifully 5 frogs, and Unattainable 4 frogs. And even though Cage was annoying at times, his book (Unattainable) also has Dirty’s story and that made up for it. I can easily see myself re-reading these books. I need the next 2 books like yesterday.

  2. I really need to read this series. So many people rave about these gritty books that I need to read them for myself. I believe I already own the first book and your list of 13 inspires me to move this up on my tbr pile.
Thanks for encouraging me to start this series!
