In My Pocket is a weekly feature where J9 and I share some of the links we’ve collected in Pocket. (To find out what Pocket is and how to use it, check out my tutorial on Pocket.) Some links will be book-related while some may be off-topic. Who knows what you’ll find in our Pocket ;) And if you use Pocket, we invite you to share what’s in your Pocket as well.
In Brianna's Pocket:
- Booklovers who are doing it right – LOL!! Hey Samantha, I thought you’d like #14 *wink*
- Things they don’t tell you when you have a baby – OMG so true!!
- This girl will put you to shame when it comes to jump roping. I’m sweating just from watching her!
- I love watching awkward moments so here’s 23 reasons why you should never feel embarrassed again.
- Someone got a ticket for wearing Google Glass while driving.
- I only wish I was creative enough to turn everyday objects into cool sketches.
- The phrase used to be “there’s an app for that”. Now the phrase seems to be “there’s a Tumblr for that”. Hot and Busted – good looking people get arrested and have pretty mug shots.
- The Hunger Games recreated with cats and cardboard. Awesome!
- I want this Lego keychain and keychain board!! Watch out kids, mommy needs your Legos!
- 15 things you probably didn’t know about Ken. Like the fact that Mattel issued this statement: “We’re not in the business of putting cock rings into the hands of little girls.” O.o
- I have never seen a beach cover up like this before but it’s freakin’ awesome! Where was that when I used to go to the beach?
- 18 tips and hacks to make you day at the Happiest Place on Earth better. One that is not listed, that you should definitely try, is when your around Jesse and Buzz Lightyear yell “ANDY’S COMING!!” and they should drop to the floor.
- Best video of the week, by far! Watch this clip with the sound OFF. Probably NSFW. The expression on her co-anchor’s face is priceless!
- I love social experiments so here’s a New York Subway signs experiment. Not that I should know, because I’ve never even been to New York, but it’s really interesting that the conductors have to point to a sign at every single stop. You learn something new each day.
- Kate Middleton is the real-life American Girls Samantha doll.
- Kurt Sutter says discussions are happening for a Sons of Anarchy spinoff!! Possibly a prequel. What do we think about this??
- Even after seeing this week’s Entertainment Weekly cover featuring Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, I ain’t feeling it. Sorry. I want Charlie Hunnam back as CG.
- Speaking of, there have been traces of HERPES on library copies of the Fifty Shades of Grey book. Ewwwwwwwww. Ebooks people. Ebooks are the way to go.
- Pictures that will make you think again about having children. Seriously, I cringed at some of the pictures.
- Photograph showing how Karma works.
- Looks like we’ll have another score to worry about – The PhoneID Score. I’m using a vintage Motorola Razr flip phone. Wonder what my score is. I bet the Sons have really bad PhoneID scores, what with all those burners they use. LOL
- ‘Gravity’ spoof recreates the terror of being separated in Ikea.
- Rock Paper Scissors Kiss – say what? It’s actually an interesting social experiment.
- Another video involving the New York subway! People falling asleep on strangers must be a common thing.
- 27 surreal places to visit before you die.
- And I leave you with this Volvo commercial. How many takes did that take? Did he fall? I can’t believe the trust you’d have to have in those drivers to pull that off. Amazing! I’ve watched this video at least 5 times now. I don’t know what’s more impressive: the feat itself or the fact that JCVD is 53 and can still do the splits?
I want Charlie Hunnam back as CG too!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should start a petition :)
DeleteAwesome links! I just spent an hour going through them. And I can confirm the NYC conductors pointing at station banner but we barely notice, just something that happens in the background.
ReplyDeleteThat was fascinating to learn. I love learning stuff about different areas.
DeleteHa! That's a great book display.
ReplyDeleteI loved it! It's funny yet true.
DeleteI'm SOOO down for a SOA prequel. Would we get to see his father???
ReplyDeleteParanormal Haven
I'd love to watch more about John Teller and how SAMCRO came to be. Let's hope it works out and happens.
DeleteLMAO! I LOVE "Booklovers who are doing it right"
ReplyDeleteGREAT POST!!!!
I know, that was a pretty good one :)
