Presley Flynn is ripe to experience her secret fantasies . . . and Dmitri Pratt wants nothing more than to fulfill them. Once inside the elite Club Sin in Las Vegas, Presley is nervous but excited—and determined to surrender to her every desire. Dmitri is her Master, and his touch is like fire. With each careful, calculated caress, he unleashes her wildest inhibitions, giving her unimagined pleasure.Presley is different than the other submissives Dmitri has mastered. The BDSM lifestyle is new to her, and so are the games they play at Club Sin. From the start, Presley stirs emotions in him far beyond the raw purity between a dom and the perfect sub. For the ecstasy they share goes beyond the dungeon igniting a passion that claims the very depths of the heart.
Why I Read this Book: I had only read one other book by Stacey Kennedy – Supernaturally Kissed (my review). She took an element I don’t normally read (ghosts) and made it work for me. When I saw she had a contemporary erotic romance coming out (Claimed), I wanted to read it.
What I Liked: Dmitri. I like his name (silly, I know but it’s so sexy), his persona, and how he took Presley under his wing so to speak. There was great character development with Dmitri’s character, as well as with Presley. Both Dmitri and Presley were multi-layered characters and it was fun to see the layers get peeled away. Presley started off being a bit of a push over when it came to her ex-fiancĂ©. After an intense scene, and with Dmitri’s help, she was able to adjust her tolerance level accordingly. I enjoyed learning about how Dmitri came to discover his domineering ways and how, with the help of a friend, he put it to better use. He was able to isolate his dominate temperament and refocus it in a different, and more enjoyable, way.
I liked where the story line was going with Master Aidan and Cora, Presley’s roommate and friend. Master Kyler wasn’t part of the story as much but I’m interested in reading about both Masters.
It was sweet that Dmitri continued to care about Katherine, his former sub, even years after their relationship ended. He made it a point to check in with her and her new Master to ensure that she was safe and being treated well.
What I Didn’t Like: There were some BDSM elements that were a little out of my comfort zone but they were over with soon enough. Dmitri spelled everything out for Presley and her limits were outlined in detail. He never broke her trust.
Memorable Moments:
“This isn’t a sex club meant to have vanilla sex. At Club Sin, you are the submissive and are treated as such.”
“I have power in Vegas. With that power comes a means to destroy lives.”
“See ya down in the dungeon.”
Overall Impression: Claimed was a good read and I look forward to reading the next Club Sin book, Bared, which will be Aidan and Cora’s story.
Brianna’s Rating:
