Rescued by a stranger.
Haunted by a secret
Sometimes, love isn’t easy…He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…
The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.
Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.
The first thing about Easy that caught my attention was the cover. I absolutely love the cover. I’ve also heard a lot of readers praising this book, and the author, so I had to see for myself.
I started reading this book at bedtime (about 9 pm), stayed up until 2 am reading, then finished it later that morning. THAT is how engrossing this book was. From the very first page to the last, the author had my complete and undivided attention. There was an interesting twist in the story, one that I caught early on but it was intriguing to see how it was discovered by Jacqueline. Then there was the misplaced guilt that haunted Lucas. I love how he turned his guilt, unknowingly, into something else; something that helps others.
Thankfully the complete story was told in one book. I would have crumbled if this had been part of a trilogy, which seems to be a trend these days. Tammara Webber wrote a truly memorable story about such deep, emotional, and delicate subject matter. I can honestly see myself re-reading this book (says me, the non re-reader). Easy is one of my favorite books I’ve read this year.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Julie - I really enjoyed her Between the Lines series although it's more YA.
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd like this one! It's one of my favorites too, and I agree about the re-read. I'm not much of a re-reader but I would read this one again. Between the Lines is a great series but it is more YA.
