In My Pocket is a weekly feature where J9 and I share some of the links we’ve collected in Pocket. (To find out what Pocket is and how to use it, check out my tutorial on Pocket.) Some links will be book-related while some may be off-topic. Who knows what you’ll find in our Pocket ;) And if you use Pocket, we invite you to share what’s in your Pocket as well.
In J9's Pocket:
- The Romance Writers of America announced last week their 2013 RITA Award finalists. I've moved almost exclusively to MM romance so haven't read many of the this year's finalists. Have you? If so, what did you like from the list?
- I am a Tibby Armstrong fan and adore her MM series, Hollywood. She did an incredibly personal post about coming out that was beautiful and poignant.
- Do NOT visit this site if you don't want Touch & Geaux spoilers but I've had great fun lurking on Abigail Roux's tumblr page where she's answer questions about the book.
- As I'm running more in the afternoons and early evenings to catch the warmth and sun I'm experimenting more with lunch, my pre-run meal. This is a great article about plant-based pre-running meals.
- Not so much a link as a self-reminder. Catherine Anderson's book Cheyenne Amber was one of my favorite historical romances but then went out of print quickly before I could buy it. It hasn't been available as an ebook--until now! It's due to release May 7 and I can't wait to see if it holds up to my memory of it!
In Brianna's Pocket:
- I am LOVING NetGalley’s Recipes for Success feature. Yesterday’s post was by Carina Press on What Does it Take to Get Approved? Definitely worth reading, for new and seasoned book bloggers alike.
- Here are some unique aquariums. The first one freaks me out. I would not be able to sleep with an aquarium above my head. No way.
- This article on 18 things that are definitely lying to you is part funny and part WTF. And I can totally vouch for #7.
- Your days of painstakingly dicing hot dogs are over with this nifty gadget. I am almost tempted to get one. And you can use it for more than just hot dogs! (Side note: I totally just wrote “hot gods” instead of “hot dogs” twice. Thank goodness I caught it.)
- I am not a coffee drinker but I do like looking at coffee foam art. How do they do that??
- And my last link is a hilarious tweet typo brought to you by @Katiebabs:
I've decided not to write any more sex scenes in my boob. Keeping it rated "G". Hand holding is as sexy as you'll get in a KT Grant book.

Many things are hidden in my boob. :P
ReplyDeleteThat was a great typo! It almost makes sense.
DeleteNo more writing sex scenes in your boobs.
But I find all my best ideas there. *pout*
DeleteHa!!
