LIFELINE: an elite search-and-rescue squad based out of Banff, Alberta. Specializing in high-risk rescue missions, this team goes wherever the job takes them…
Rebecca James was once revered for her devil-may-care attitude and backcountry survival skills. But ever since she lost her partner in a fatal accident, patches of her memory have been missing. And until she can recall those final, tragic moments before the accident, she can’t move on.Since Marcus Landers was permanently injured during a mission, all his energies have been focused on his Lifeline team. When Becki—whom he had an intense affair with seven years ago—arrives in Banff, he’s inspired to reignite the spark they once had. Their mutual ardor slowly awakens Becki’s dormant, haunting memories.
New truths surface until Becki must at last confront her greatest fear. Remembering the past might mean a future without the man she loves…

Vivian Arend in one word: Adventurous. In a sentence: Willing to try just about anything once. That wide-eyed attitude has taken her around North America, through parts of Europe, and into Central and South America, often with no running water.
Her optimistic outlook also meant that when challenged to write a book, she gave it a shot, and discovered creating worlds to play in was nearly as addictive as traveling the real one. Now a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of both contemporary and paranormal stories, Vivian continues to explore, write and otherwise keep herself well entertained.

My husband has climbed in the Grand Tetons as well as doing Half Dome twice and many climbs in New England so I am familiar with the perils of loving a thrill seeking outsdoorsman!
ReplyDeleteVery neat! Part of the story takes place in the Grand Tetons, so yes. ;)
DeleteThis sounds like a really good book. I can't wait to read it. Also I love the pictures. It looks like you had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteAmazing trip. :D
DeleteAngel's Landing is one of my favorite hikes. We have a poster of Walter's Wiggles in our living room to remind me. The adventure at the top of my list is to go trekking in Nepal. I don't want to climb it, but I'd love to see Everest.
ReplyDeleteWe have a postcard of the wiggles on the wall in our camper! And yes, someday Nepal. Like you, I don't want to do Everest but looking from a distance would be cool.
DeleteI love hearing about everyone's adventures!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun? I find I get great ideas for future trips that way as well. Thanks for having me drop in!
DeleteVery excited about the Adrenaline series. I would love to visit Egypt and its archaeological sites.
ReplyDeleteYes! Egypt is on the bucket list for sure!!
DeleteWhat an awesome holiday! It looks so beautiful. I probably would have been stopping every 5 seconds to take a picture :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about an adventure holiday, maybe white water rapids or something.
I would like to go to the Swiss Alps

I'm currently saving up for an African Safari. It is a trip that I have to go on.

I have loved each and every post but this one is my favorite. I have spent many, many vacations traveling this area and Utah is my favorite place for hiking. Thanks so much for sharing with us!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! The scrapbook layout is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI would love to actually spend some time travelling around America - I'm from the UK & have only visited the states once. We saw Washington, Philadelphia and New York which was amazing but I'd love to visit places like the Grand Canyon, it would be quite an adventure to travel from one side of the country to the other but I'm not sure I'll ever have the time & money to do it so we'll have to wait and see!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely pictures! I am so jealous of all the beautiful places that you have been but so happy that you are sharing your terrific pictures with us.
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to be able to travel through all the 50 states, but due to physical & medical problems, I don't think it would be easy for me.
DeleteI would love to visit Alaska one day. The pictures I have seen are scenic!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Scotland and Wales.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love to travel and experience different cultures, I prefer to do any real blood-pumping adventuring vicariously through good books.
