In My Pocket is a new weekly feature where J9 and I share some of the links we’ve collected in Pocket. (To find out what Pocket is and how to use it, check out my tutorial on Pocket.) Some links will be book-related while some may be off-topic. Who knows what you’ll find in our Pocket ;) And if you use Pocket, we invite you to share what’s in your Pocket as well.
In J9's Pocket:
- I'm sure you saw the twitter flurry about Amazon's patent for selling used digital books. Dear Author had a great, intellectual essay on it.
- I love reading reviews for books that didn't work for me but that someone else loved. Kaetrin's Musings loved Dirty Laundry by Heidi Cullinan, a book that wasn't for me.
- I love Sarah MacLean's books like a fat kid loves Little Debbie Snacks. She's writing the next in her series featuring Temple and she shares some of the research she did for his character as a bare-knuckle fighter. Oh, Temple! *fans self*
- I am a recycling fiend and am always searching ways to never throw anything away. Real Simple has a great A to Z guide that is becoming a place I check when I need to get rid of something.
In Brianna's Pocket:
- The Book Blogger Twitter Con 2013 (#BBTC) nominations are in and now it’s time to vote! And I’m in the running for Twitter Queen! Thanks to all who nominated me :) Virtual kisses to all who vote for me *mwah*
- The discussion for By A Thread by Jennifer Estep is happening right now at Smash Attack Reads! If you’ve read the book, come chat with us.
- I love movie trivia. Here are 9 things you may not have known about Disney's Cinderella.
- I love technology but it changes things. Even the most mundane things like going out to dinner. Tell me you don’t do at least one of those things…..
I loved the Instagram comment on the going out to eat infographic. Heh.
