What do you think? Have you read the book? Do you plan on seeing the movie?
Love hurts. There is nothing as painful as heartbreak. But in order to learn to love again, you must learn to trust again. When a mysterious young woman named Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children; and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie slowly begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community and becoming increasingly attached to Alex and his family.
But even as Katie begins to fall in love, she struggles with the dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her . . . a past that set her on a fearful, shattering journey across the country, to the sheltered oasis of Southport. With Jo’s empathic and stubborn support, Katie eventually realizes that she must choose between a life of transient safety and one of riskier rewards . . . and that in the darkest hour, love is the only true safe haven.

I've been looking forward to this one ever since it began production! Loved the novel and it looks like they put together a great cast to compliment the characters from the book!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this one!
I haven't read the book yet but watching the trailer gets me excited!!
DeleteI'm a Nicholas Sparks' fan so I've read the book. I just don't know if I'll watch it. I was really disappointed with The Last Song so I haven't watched his other books that became movies. Nevertheless, the trailer is good.

You have to watch The Notebook! The best book-to-movie adaptation ever.
DeleteOoh, thanks for sharing this. I can't wait for the movie!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to this movie. I loved the book. I sort of got the feeling of Déjà vu with the trailer though. Mainly the boat and the rain scenes. They reminded me of The Notebook.
ReplyDeleteI loved the book, can't wait to see the movie!
ReplyDeleteI will not be watching the movie. Loved the book and from what I've seen by the trailers I've watched, it does not uphold the integrity of the book. In fact, I feel it somewhat compromises the storyline itself. I was initially looking forward to the movie but now seeing how that will play out, my mind has been completely changed.
