April was a slow reading month for me; I only read 2 books. I started Fracture by Megan Miranda and got 52% into the book but ended up not finishing it. The pacing was too slow for me and not much was happening by the half-way mark. So I threw in the towel. I’m currently reading Danger Zone by Dee J. Adams, which is much more my speed. It’s the second book in a romantic suspense series featuring race car drivers.
June is only a month away which means my annual Birthday Extravaganza is almost here! I’ve got some great giveaways lined up so you won’t want to miss it. I’m still looking for a few more sponsors so if you’re interested, contact me.

I participated in Bloggiesta. Here’s my starting line post and finish line post. Even though Bloggiesta is over and done with, I still have a growing to-do list for the blog. Screenwriter and author David H. Steinberg talked about adapting novels for film. He wrote the screenplay for the America Pie movie. Magic Mike. Channing Tatum. Joe Manganiello(!!). Matthew McConaughey. Need I say more? For those who know what I’m referring to, you can click on the link and get your daily fix. (Srsly, I just watched it myself. Again.) For those who haven’t heard of Magic Mike, you NEED to click on the link. Probably NSFW. Joe Manganiello’s name in the film is ‘Big Dick Richie’. *giggles* Author Nancy Scrofano talks about how it all started with Sweet Valley High. Plus she’s giving away a copy of her book! I started a new weekly feature here on TBV called My Bookish Wants & Gots. It’s where I list the books I want - which can be old, new, or upcoming releases - and the books I recently got. Look for it on Saturdays.
Current Giveaways:
(2) ebook copies of True Love Way by Nancy Scrofano – ENDS 5/8/2012 (INT)

Even though it was a slow reading month, you still had an eventful April! Were you a SVH fan? I was---I read them for years. I stopped somewhere in the SVU series. Sometime after Elizabeth and Todd broke up and she got together w/ the guy from the radio station. Can't remember his name right now...
ReplyDeleteCan you believe I have never read a single SVH book? Do I need to fix that?
