This sounds like a fun challenge. I do love me some men in uniform. And I've got the perfect book to start off with which I'll be saving for the first of the year.
ReplyDeleteHelp! I put the widget on my page. There are two identical graphics that show up. The first goes nowhere and the second comes here. Neither shows an area for a book count.
ReplyDeleteI want to change the blog site to use on your page. How do I do so?
@Susan F.
ReplyDeleteHmm, that's weird. I copied the code in the 'grab box' and tried it on my test blog and it worked just fine. Only one graphic shows up and it takes me back to this page.
Not sure what you mean about 'an area for a book count'...are you referring to a progress bar?
@The Book Vixen
ReplyDeleteProgress bar is what I meant :-P
This is where I put the code:

Any help is appreciated!
@Susan F.
ReplyDeleteDid you see the tutorial I did on progress bars? The code for the bars is in that post.
If you still need help, send me an email with the code that you're using. (click on the email icon on the left side bar to send me an email)
This sounds like a fun challenge, I'm looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to start in 2012. Im going to be doing the Chief level!! YAY
ReplyDeleteDo lawyers count? I have loads of books with them to be read.
ReplyDeleteAnyway really excited about this challenge :)
@theliteraryshack
ReplyDeleteSince lawyers do not wear uniforms, I'd say no. But that would make for a good reading challenge :)
I'm shooting for "Chief" status. Since I read cozy mysteries, it will be a bit of a challenge to find leading men in uniform!
ReplyDeleteEllie Oberth
I'm doing 1 because I read cozies, too and 1 is a challenge to find a leading man in uniform. (That'll be fun to find!) I'm also doing a bunch of challenges so...
ReplyDeleteI resubmitted my signup, as the original website I posted wouldn't take the link. I put it as a status on my facebook page, since I don't have a regular blog.
ReplyDeleteDoes the men in uniform challenge have its own facebook page? Might be a good way to share book suggestions.
ReplyDelete@Susan F.
ReplyDeleteNo FB page. You're more than welcome to share suggestions in this comments thread. There are 2 links for book suggestions in this post ;)
I'm going for the Chief. I just love a man in uniform. Will "fictional" uniforms count? What I mean are the 1s in paranormal books. ( Immortal Ops) ex.
ReplyDelete@Thecrazygranny
ReplyDeleteYes :)
I just signed up for this challenge too! I too LOVE a man in uniform :)
ReplyDeleteQuick question. For the military guys - does he need to be currently in uniform, or does former military count too, especially if it is a part of the story line?
ReplyDeleteThe guy should currently wear a uniform.
DeleteThanks. That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure.
