Month in Review: March 2011

I was a bit MIA here on the blog last month (in March). As some of you already know, I’m about 4 months pregnant with baby #3. This pregnancy is not going along as uneventful as my other two so I’ve had some adjustments to make. And I don’t know what it is about being pregnant but I turn into the biggest couch potato when I’m pregnant. I normally don’t watch TV except for Grey’s Anatomy. Now, I find myself watching all the baby/delivery shows (One Born Every Minute is a new favorite) whenever I can. (And Teen Mom 2 and some other shows I run into. And if there’s nothing exciting on, I’ll just channel surf until I finally settle on a show. How bad is that?!!) You’d think that since I’ve been through this not once, but twice already, I’d know all there is to know about labor and deliveries and babies. But there’s something about those shows that appeal to me, only when I’m pregnant. And of course, I cry like a blubbering baby when I watch them.

And here’s something weird – I haven’t been in the mood to read lately. *gasp* I have lots of great books I’ve been wanting to read yet I’m not in the mood. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve got some stuff on my mind (my not so uneventful pregnancy stuff that’s going on) or if I’m just in another sort of funk. But I hope to snap out of it and pronto!

So far this year, I’ve read 30 books. If I keep on track, I’ll make (and exceed) my 100 book mark this year!

  1. Blank Confession by Pete Hautman – 4 frogs

Congrats on the pregnancy!
One of my besties who is usually a reading FIEND hasn't been able to get into any books during her pregnancy either....I'm sure you will both come back with a vengeance (altho 30 books is ahead of me lol!)

Vampires and Tofu - Thank you :) I knew of another book blogger who wasn't in the mood to read during part of her pregnancy either. What's up with that?!! LOL

Congrats on your pregnancy! When I was pregnant all I did was sleep and watch TV (and was occasionally productive at work:) ) And I loved cheesecake - something that I normally hate. What is it about pregnancy?? I'm sure that your urge to read will return, but make sure you have an ereader so you can hold baby in one hand and "book" in the other :)
