Top 10 Tuesday

Top Ten Books I Just HAD To Buy…
But Are Still Sitting On My Bookshelf

  1. Lover Mine by J.R. Ward – This is the BDB story I have been waiting for. And yes, it still sits in my TBR pile. I pre-ordered this last year from a ‘virtual book signing’ site so it’s signed by the WARDen herself.
  2. Safe Haven by Nicholas Spark – I haven’t had this one too long but I want to read it already.
  3. Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris – Got this one when it released. I heart Sookie. I need to read this one before the next book comes out.
  4. Vampire Academy series (books 1-5) by Richelle Mead – I’ve had the first 3 books on my TBR shelf probably for over a year now. I just got books 4 and 5 a couple weeks ago.
  5. The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins – I was initially waiting for Mockingjay to release (because I heard there’s a killer cliffhanger in Catching Fire) but that day has come and gone and I have yet to read this series.
  6. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare – I’ve had this on my TBR shelf for a year and a half.
  7. Flashforward by Robert J. Sawyer – I was a huge fan of the show and then it got canceled. I got the book in hopes of getting closure.
  8. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon– After I read The Time Traveler’s Wife, I decided that I wanted to read more time travel romance. And there’s something about a big, fat book that calls out to me.
  9. Fragile by Shiloh Walker – I read the 2nd book first. Broken was so good, I want to read this one.
  10. Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis– This is probably the book that has been on my TBR pile the longest. I think I got it right after the first movie came out. It’s not the movie-tie-in cover though. It’s the one with the lion on the cover. Not sure if I’ll get to this one any time soon but I had to have it in my collection.

A couple years ago I bought Chronicles of Narnia, the entire series, in one volume, yet, I haven't read it. My daughter has, though. Someday....

OMG! I have the exact same problem! Almost every one of those books is sitting in my TBR pile still!

Once you read the first one in the series (Chronicles of Narnia) you'll be hooked, so don't start until you have time read them all :)

I was just thinking about buying Chronicles of Narnia. I'll buy it and get around to reading it eventually... :)

I loved Flash Forward and they cancelled it right at the turning point. I had no clue it was based on a book. Definitely adding it to my wishlist. Thanks!

Ahhh The Chronicles of Narnia should be on my list! I read the first couple books and then...idk what happened? I feel like maybe some of the books are more interesting than others lol. I'll be interested to see what you think when you finally read it! You should definitely read The Hunger Games -- I know book 1 was AMAZEBALLS and I'm sure the other 2 are just as awesome =)

Flashforward is a book, love you for mentioning that. I still can't believe it got canceled, ugggh.

I glad I'm not the only one with the Warden's book still on the TBR pile. Yep, also have Harris's book there too. I'm thinking of giving up Book Buying for Lent. This first week of March broke the budget anyway. I plan on reading atleast these two before the new releases come out. OUI!

Oh, sweetie...you just made me feel better about all the books I have to read on my shelf! City of Bones, The Hunger Games, Vampire Academy, AND Chronicles of Narnia? Girl, you need to get going! Lol.

P.S. Don't worry. I'm sure I could pick out quite a few from my shelves that would shock everyone.

The Chronicles of Narnia are great read-one-a-day kind of series. =)

I voraciously ate up every one of the Charlaine Harris series books and the Hunger Games was good, tho I preferred the first book after I read them all.

My 10:
1) The Chronicles of Narnia ( thought I would do it this year but alas nope)

2) The Virgin Rivers series by Robyn Carr and/or anything by her really

3)The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown

4)The Jess Haines Series (though I am going to try to do that one this year)

5)Lynsay Sands Series (I have all of them )

6) The Kerrelyn Sparks series--I think I have all of them and haven't read them :(

7)Kimberly Frosts Witch Series

8)The rest of the Rick Riordan Percy Jackson Series

9)Archangel's Kiss by Nalini Singh

10)Nora Roberts Bride Quartet Series

I am actually in the process of making a list of all the books I own that I have not read (because on Kindle it is easy to forget)! These are just my top 10 LOL

Hi!
I've read Cassadra Clare's City of Bones. I really want to finish the series but haven't gotten around to it yet. I wanted to let you know how I'm doing on the Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge. I have set myself at 200 books and I have just finished number 25. Have a great day!
