CONTEST [CLOSED]: Cover Redesign: Nightshade by Andrea Cremer

Several book bloggers are celebrating some awesome new YA releases by participating in an event called Fall Into Fantasy, hosted by The Bookish Type. To see the complete list of bloggers participating and events that will be taking place, please see this post.


Today, I have the honor of hosting a cover redesign contest for Nightshade by Andrea Cremer! I love cover redesign contests because I love looking at other people’s creations. So let’s see those creative juices flowing! I know some of you may not have read Nightshade yet it hasn’t been released yet (release day is 10/19/2010) so I’ve included the book cover and blurb to give you an idea of what the book is about.

 


Calla Tor has always known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she'll be the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers. But when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything--including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?


Rules:

  • Open Internationally.
  • One entry per person.
  • Entries must be submitted no later than 11:59pm (PST) on Saturday, October 16th, 2010.
  • To submit your entry, post your cover redesign of Nightshade on your blog. Then come back to this post and enter the link to your post in the comments of this post. (Please use the direct link to your post, not the link to your blog’s homepage. In other words, make it easy for Ms. Cremer to find your entry.)
  • One winner will be chosen by Andrea Cremer.
  • Winner will be announced on or around Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 (Nightshade’s release day!).


Prize:
The winner will receive a *signed* finished copy of Nightshade by Andrea Cremer.

  19. ♥s.shapeshift_ Ask and you shall receive. I got this from The Bookish Type (she's read the book). She says:

    There a whoooole lot of characters, since there are multiple packs running around, but the major ones are as follows:

    Calla: Calla is the alpha Guardian (werewolf - kinda) of the Nightshade pack and a warrior. She's loyal and tough, but also has a vulnerable, scared side that she works hard to hide. She's torn between Shay and Ren. She has gold eyes and platinum blond hair.

    Shay: Shay is human. He has a strong sense of justice. He comes across as extremely vulnerable and shy because he doesn't know what kind of world he's stumbled into, but he's really sweet, determined and inquisitive. He has brown hair with a slight shimmer of gold, green-grey eyes, and is lean but strong.

    Ren: He's the alpha of the Bane pack. He's strong and imposing, and exudes confidence and power. He's really hard to understand because he can be a complete jerk or he can be surprisingly deep and sweet. He has dark eyes, dark hair, and is large and muscular.


    Ansel: Calla's little brother and a member of the Nightshade pack. He's a couple years younger than most of the others, but is protective. He's adorable and caring, and alternates between seeming really innocent and surprisingly wise.

    Bryn: Bryn is Calla's best friend and her second in the Nightshade pack. She's small, but spunky and energetic and extremely loyal to Calla.

    Lumine: Lumine is a Keeper (which basically means witch) and owns the Nightshade pack. She's very elegant and pretentious and always perfectly put-together.

    Efron: Efron is a Keeper who owns the Bane pack. He's very suave and genteel, but also pretty creepy.

    Logan: Logan is Efron's son. He's a Keeper and is the same age as most of the Guardians. He's used to privilege and getting his way. He's arrogant and unpredictable.
